YOGA for Healthy Lower Backs

Tried, tested & recommended, this specialised course empowers you to help yourself to improved long-term comfort, health & well-being. Backache is a   common problem. Now there is an evidence-based (University of York / Arthritis Research UK) way to improve back health and function.

Also works as a great introductory course in Yoga. You don't have to have back pain to enrol.  Feel for yourself how  regular Yoga practice improves health of mind, body and spirit. Learn to nurture yourself.

​This holistic motivational 12-week course is designed to:

•    Teach how to self-manage for the long-term

• Address stress-management and relaxation skills

• Encourage an increase in physical activity, appropriate to the individual

• Teach postural awareness and mindfulness

​• Aim for positive physical and mental health outcomes

What to expect

The 12 x 75 minute class course comprises easy foundational yoga poses. Props such as a yoga block, blanket or belt are used to aid effectiveness and to ensure absolute comfort. Alison will be there before and after class for giving extra support/advice.
